Adult Recommendations are not acceptable (NSFW)

If you had just listened to us from the beginning (off switch and/or stop focusing on outside content), this could have been avoided.

It was, yes. I haven’t tried since they “fixed” things (by removing the “More With” bits)

I’m getting a little older and less creative but I am unable to produce any search results. Lol.

Thats good. I’d be happy to be wrong on this one.

No, you did good. If you hadn’t, it could have been someone’s child.

At this point I’m wondering where @BigWheel is after he directly told me that NOT enabling streaming providers and yet results will come up on search for those streaming providers was NOT a mistake/bug.

We shouldn’t even have to do this. All this TESTING of how hard for xxx or other explicit content should have been tested in-house by the Plex team from the beginning.

WE should be getting paid for finding their flawed code.

So, can we stop being Guinea pigs on this whole horrible adventure, or does that require uninstalling Plex?

I have never selected ANY sources at ANY time and I still get results.

Everything is clearly working as designed. Nope, no troubles here.

While you are discussing the options, can you at least turn it off???!!

How many more things like this do we need to find?

Or, better yet, stop discussing and start by giving us an OFF SWITCH?

Damn these forums… apparently I’m all out of the ability to like any more posts for 13 hours.
So just assume if you think Plex ■■■■■■ up big time I “liked” your post.

Purge the cache? We will PURGE the whole Plex installation unless we have the explicit option to not send our search terms to 3rd party services. You can have your discover feature but WE get the option to turn it off and off means off completely.

Just like all the other 3rd party services that we can turn off.

BTW no competent company force feeds their users a BETA feature without opt-in consent let alone the option to turn it off once it’s not BETA. That’s not how the real world works.

Somebody would have found it if it hadn’t been me, but I pulled the post and will use messaging for any further concerns. I’m confident that Plex realizes the magnitude of the issue and will respond appropriately.

Until they do it next time.

I love Plex, don’t get me wrong.

However, Plex has created this huge trust issue themselves. I wish I still had the confidence you do. Perhaps, Plex can earn it back, but I’m not happy about where their venture capital is coming from and what is it for…more things like this.

534 votes so far, you’d think that would make Plex think twice about a huge chunk of their userbase switches to alternatives like Jellyfin or Emby… it wont, but you’d think it would.

If you haven’t already voted to get rid of this abomination of a feature, please do so.

This. And especially when calling it a beta whilst forcing it on everyone.

We should have the ability to file sexual harassment lawsuits.

Tang, they one with the 5 year old, should have the ability to sue Plex for child abuse.

EDIT: Why was this flagged?

Plex doesn’t even know what a UNIT TEST is in programming otherwise there wouldn’t be regression after regression. Broken feature after broken feature.

Unit tests. Write them.
