We need the ability to utilize advanced filters in the Collections section of movies and shows. While the “metadata” isn’t as robust as individual movies, being able to filter by “Title”, “Sort Title”, and most importantly, “Labels” is missing but is quite essential. This has become a major pain-point when it comes to the sharing restrictions for Plex Home and external users as collections are included in Allowed and Excluded labels - labels that are Allowed or Excluded apparently must be applied to both the movie and the collection it’s in for both to appear in a user’s library. This could be implemented in the Library Advanced filters to also show the Collection, only in the Collection tab, or both of course.
To clarify, I do not mean the ability to filter for movies with a specific collection name, but to filter for the collection itself. For example, we can advanced filter for “Collection IS Indiana Jones Collection” but we can’t advanced filter for “Indiana Jones Collection label IS ____”
A better example is, you may have a young user that you want to filter age appropriate movies for so you’ve utilized the label “kids”. You’ve labelled various movies as such and want them to also have access to the corresponding collections (maybe you’ve also created a Disney Smart Collection along with the auto-created Aladdin Collection). If the “kids” label has not been applied to the collection, it will not show in the library, nor is there any way to see which collections these labels have been applied to.
