Advertise as Server

I’m currently experiencing this problem.

nexus 6p (Plex 6.2.0.719 or the non beta version) synced content. (running Android O)
Nexus 9 (Plex 6.1.1.656)
chromecast
local wifi router (with basic internet)

the problems

  1. the 6p can see the nexus 9 as a server and a player.
  2. the nexus 9 can’t see the 6p
  3. casting synced content from the 6p to the chromecast device fails.

for some reason my 6p just won’t listen as a server, but i can push local content to be played on the nexus 9 by choosing it as a player on my 6p.

no idea why its not showing up as a server. I’m not sure if this is an O issue, but i remember it not working previously.

Interesting, I’ll add it to the list of things to review on Android O. If you can send some logs from both devices after this happens, they might help.

yes it used to work, but i don’t remember if it worked before i upgraded to O. i’ll gather logs for you.
