I have a Plex Pass. Today for the first time, ads played when I chose my own content. Is this a new development? It isn’t acceptable.
It isn’t a development. You are either playing our streaming content, or you are watching something that was recorded with DVR which the commercials were not removed.
Plex was indeed playing free content, I now see. However, I never use free content. How do I prevent Plex from prioritizing (or even selecting) free content instead of my library, when searching? I don’t understand how I arrived at free content.
You can disable all online media sources in your account settings (Settings > Account > Online Media Sources) – there’s no prioritization for Plex to pick a video from its video-on-demand service if the video is also in your library; in that case you should get both results in your search and Plex will play the one you pick.
When you do a search, it tells you from where the source is from.
