After Configuring 'Trailers' still load up Apple Default?

Are you running Skype, if so disable it using port 80 (see wiki for how to).

Also see this topic about windows activation service hogging port 80:

http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/74394-plexconnectpython-error-10013-and-10048-fix/?hl=10013

Also this:

http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/74051-plex-on-windows-server-2012-r2/?p=426985

"  net stop http":

It will tell stop what is using port 80 and tell you what it stopped

Net Stop HTTP

Stopped:

Windows Remote Management

World Wide Web Publishing Service

Print Spooler

Stopped these, rebooted everything and still loading up Apples Trailers?

:(

So you rebooted your PC, if so you may have just restarted whichever of those services that were blocking PlexConnect.

My money is on World Wide Web Publishing Service, but windows remote management may have blocked port 80 as well.

Sorry I meant restarted ATV and Python.

I have stopped those two services running but still the same....

Any other thoughts?

It sounds to me like PLexConnect is shutting down because port 53 or port 80 is in use.

Try using this tool to find out what is using those ports:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/bb897437.aspx

Wouldnt it show that in the command prompt?

Dropbox was also running over http. I have uninstalled that and tried again aaaaannnndddd.....

Still not working... :(

What is the output of your logfile now (turn it to high)?

Here ya go:

I then click on Trailers and it loads up the normal default apple trailers.

Log looks great. Please confirm, that aTV has the correct (PlexConnect's) DNS IP.

That appears to be running okay, can you leave it running and unplug and then plug your atv back in?

Ha you are getting some double troubleshooting :)

Yep 100% the ATV DNS is 192.168.0.203

Ill restart it now...

Nope same thing... Weird

One thing... when PlexConnect is NOT running... and you reboot your aTV, do you get ALL icons or just two (computers, settings)?

Yes... just computer ans settings....

ok. so now we know, that aTV is using "our" DNS Server.

With the aTV running, start PlexConnect. Wait a minute and check if the icons appear.

If you don't get Plex on the trailers app at that point... I don't know...

then after about 30 seconds they all reappear

then clicked trailers and it used the apple trailers :(

No way...

please set loglevel to High, do it again (from 2 icons to fully working), select trailers app and attach PlexConnect.log here.

Here you go... ( there was no change in command when the icons popped up )
