After Exiting Full Screen, Window Always Returns to Windowed Mode Instead of Maximized

I’m using the same version and see the same behavior.

There are other threads on the topic, some dating back a year, so you’re not the only one to mention it.

None of the threads I saw mentioned a fix/workaround/etc., so it seems Plex will have to address it in a future update.

Search the forum with fullscreen maximize tags:player-windows or similar terms to see the threads.

Here’s a couple that I found.

Exiting fullscreen to un-maximized window

Server Version#: 1.19.5.3112 Player Version#: 1.16.0.1364-da192ff7 Windows 10 x64. For some reason, my Plex desktop client does not remember its window state before going fullscreen. When I exit fullscreen, it always goes back to an un-maximized window even if it had been maximized before. Any idea why this might be happening or how to fix it?

Plex for Windows app, strange fullscreen behavior

Player Version#: 1.4.1.940 Plex for Windows seems to have some issues with fullscreen. There’s no button to go fullscreen when not playing a video (F11 works though) The app doesn’t “remember” fullscreen state, i.e. if you quit while in fullscreen, it won’t start on fullscreen next time (PMP did this) If you are in fullscreen and you start playing a video using the Remote Control feature of the Android App, it will quit fullscreen Those are pretty annoying issues, especially since PMP handle…
