After sending invite to friend, what steps do they take. They’ve accepting the invite but not really sure what to do after that. Do they install plex? Do they need to create an account? It isn’t very clear on what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks advance.
I believe they would need to create their own Plex account, then your server will show up for them to browse.
That’s kinda backwards from the way we do it at our house in that we get rookie guests to create a plex.tv account first, they give us their user name and we add 'em. They get the apps they need, sign 'em in and there we are.
The whole ‘invite’ thing really only works for established accounts, but in those cases it works fine.
@JuiceWSA is right. I’ve seen issues where the invite doesn’t work all that good if the friends plex account wasn’t created first.
If your friend now has a plex account then delete them from your friends share list and then re-add them.
