I’m moving my Plex Server responsibilities from a separate server to this Synology NAS. The manual spk installation seemed to work fine, and when i click the settings it opens up the new tab to http://[NAS IP]:32400/web. The problem is that I don’t see the NAS in the server list. I only see Podcasts. News, my old server, and a separate server my friend shares with me. I deleted the old server, and I’ve tried restarting the NAS with no luck. The settings don’t even show Servers as an option. I’ve attached the screenshot with everything i see in the Settings options. What step am I missing here?
I was already signed into plex on another tab, so it didn’t ask me anything. Just goes straight to the plex player and starts off looking at the content from my friend’s server.
Still not there. Does Plex log anywhere on the NAS? I’m going to be setting up a new router today, and will attempt it again once I have the NAS on the new network. Thanks for your suggestions so far.
The odd part about all of this to me is that I don’t see Server in the settings anywhere. I’ve followed those steps as well as I can(skipping all the server settings steps). I attached a screenshot in the original post. Server isn’t an option on the settings menu. I have no idea why. I may just need to delete and recreate my plex account.
Edit: To be clear, I’m not sure if Server was ever an option in Plex’s settings. I just know I don’t see anything like that now.
Mystery kinda solved. It’s something with my network configuration. I hooked up the NAS to the new router and it discovered it immediately. The new router is still on all the default settings, so we’ll see if anything changes as I modify it. Thanks everyone for the help!
