So I had an issue the other day after moving all my media to a different hard drive I couldn’t get plex to match properly, and yes I do have my files named properly because it worked just fine on the other hard drive. It would match some media not others but the ones it did match were not matching movie posters it was just showing video clips of the film as the poster. So I couldn’t figure out what was going on, and still don’t really know so if someone actually does know why this happen please let me know. However I did fix it but I took it to the extreme in order to do it. I deleted every single plex file on my hard drive including the server then started from scratch reinstalled the server from the website and then added the new hard drive back again. This did seem to work, but like I said it was an extreme but it worked so I made this to let you know how I fixed it and also reach out to see if anyone knows how else I could have fixed it. so that’s just the thing I didn’t have to edit anything my stuff all matched perfectly maybe I edited 5 movies I was just surprised it wouldn’t match everything automatically again like it did before I didn’t edit much
Click on the post and read it completely with the correct formatting, it helps the readability… Don’t know why it didn’t copy the whole thing…
okay I guess the only thing I didn’t do was create an empty folder and scan it first everything else I did moved the folders not copy but ill definitely give this a try next time not going to do this again after fixing it lol but thanks for the heads up ill post back once I have to do it
