After Shield update, Plex thinks there is no internet connection

Server Version#:1.29.1.6313 (smb)
Player Version#:9.10.1.36024 (bdfd5a5c)
Shield version #9.1.1[33.2.0.157]

Both of my shields got upgraded while I was out of town, (thanks kids). And now, neither ones copy of Plex player or server can see the Internet. All the other apps, (YouTube, Fubo, etc.) are fine.

I’m using wired connections to a gig switch.

Any ideas?

Sorry do you mean the Shield OS got updated or the app andor/server got updated

Shield OS.

Ca you access the server locally from a computer on network? via ip:32400/web ( may have to use https:// )

So via HTTPS, no connection to either server. Via HTTP, it connects but the thinking wheel spins forever, so not really.

Ok can you see if you can get the server logs from the server off the shield manually. There is some info here on how to access shield storage from your computer. https://support.plex.tv/articles/220347688-accessing-shield-storage/

I have the logs, How would you like me to get them to you? The older server is like 85mb the Newer 8.

click on my username/avatar to message them to me

it might be best to put them on google drive or similar and message me a link to them. ( make sure they are set to anyone with link can access)

have you tried restarting your router?

Nov 03, 2022 04:31:15.994 [27716] DEBUG - NAT: UPnP, getPublicIP didn't find usable IGD.
Nov 03, 2022 04:31:15.994 [27716] ERROR - NAT: PMP::getPublicIP, couldn't initialize: -3:Unable to get Gateway

Yes, Multiple times. My router, (Ubiquiti USG), is separate from my switches, but I restarted everything trying to figure this out. With the new server, it was working, and then I allowed the NVidia to restart to finish the update, and then it was no longer working.

If I have to I can first birthday my Shields to see if that works.

You mean factory reset? never heard it said like that before.

Sorry, I work in television and we use it to mean factory reset on our equipment, Which as we moved from baseband SDI and HD-SDI to IP, has happened a lot.

Well neither seems to be able to find the router/gateway. Though it is clearly seeing multiple devices on network over SSPD. Do you have any non-default set up in its network settings that may have gotten wiped out on update?

No just a standard static IP, but I will take a look at the settings to make sure.

The crazy thing is, all the other apps on both shields are just fine.

I have had to take off out of town, so I won’t be able to look until next Sunday, Unless I can figure out a way to remotely look at the settings.

If you see anything else let me know, and I’ll update on Sunday.

Thank you for your help.
