PC Keeps losing connection to Plex Server on Nvidia Shield Pro

In the last few weeks my PC will lose it’s connection to the Plex Server that’s on my Nvidia Shield Pro, but I still remain connected to the media drive that’s connected to the Shield. It happens several times a day.

My setup is:
Nvidia Shield Pro connected to external JBOD. The Plex Server files are running from an SSD in the JBOD.

Shield Pro is wired to an R9000 router. I have transfer over ethernet setup.

I recently set up the Shield with a Static IP (following suggestions from a google search), and made the appropriate adjustments in the Router.

My computer is Windows 11 and also wired into the router. I have all the latest updates on the Computer and Shield Pro

When I login to the Plex Web app, I’ll see my library. But if I come back at a later point, the library is gone, and refreshing doesn’t help. Sometimes unplugging the Shield ethernet cable from the router and plugging back in helps. If that doesn’t work I have to turn on the Shield and reboot it. Then I can refresh the web app and I see the library (but I have to pin all my libraries to the side again). When the Web app loses the Shield’s Plex server, my computer still sees the storage that’s attached to the Shield. So the ethernet cable isn’t the issue.

Sometimes on the Shield, the Plex library won’t be seen and I have to hit Retry and it may come back or I have to reboot.

When the thing is working I still have remote access in other locations, so those settings still work.

Was there a recent update that broke the Plex Server on the Shield Pro?

If you need further info, please let me know.

So no one has seen this before? I paid a lot of money for the Lifetime Plex Pass, and it would be nice if the Plex masters could offer some support.

Would be helpful to share your server logs for others to take a look at to see if anything shows up there.

What url are you using when you go to the web app? The local direct ip or app.plex.tv? When it goes down, have you tried both?

When it’s not accessible via web, have you tried another app locally to see if it can connect? Plex desktop or the mobile app on your phone/tablet? If so, do they connect?

Does your router have a DNS rebind protection setting? If so, disable it. If it allows for an exception, add plex.direct. Also, are you using ISP DNS Servers? If so, change them to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 or 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1

Can you screenshot and share your plex network settings page? Do you have anything in the field list of ips allowed without auth?

I’m using app.plex.tv/web/app address to access. When Plex isn’t accessible via web, I know my remote viewers have also lost connection. I just lost connection again, and I was unable to access the server from my ipad app.

DNS rebind protection setting is turned off

My DHCP settings are:

Are these the server settings you are referring to:

Here are all the logs (or is there just one that is needed?)

I appreciate your assistance.

No thoughts?
