After updating qts qnap and gpu nvidia KO

Soon as I finish dinner, I will put together some things for you

With that, you should be able to replicate what I nornally do and grab the same output.

I tend to stay up later anyway (03:00 EST) so can work with that too if needed,

ok, no probs, I should still be online for next couple of hours and can pick things up after if needed

Joy… the 5.0.2 drivers were automatically installed on my NAS overnight as a required update. So downgrading just the drivers isn’t a long term solution unless you also downgrade QTS.

I’ve had to disable HW transcoding on PMS to keep it working.

Count me in on the testing. I’m in Australia, GMT+8 timezone.

We are about to try something here.

Don’t tell anyone but it involves standing on our left toe, on top of a ladder, at night, while raining with blustery wind and lightning. Should be easy

here I am, yesterday I was on a trip with my family, if I started doing tests they would kill me! :joy:. however i am convinced that the problem is with these 5.0.2 drivers. in 10 hours I’m also there to do some tests.

@ilboss

Here’s what we know so far:

  1. GT-1050 - GeForce cards are now ok with my new package
    a. Contains packaging changes to correct for screwy drivers
    b. Contains fix in the Plex->Nvidia code

  2. Pxxx series cards are stil eluding us.

Ok, I have a Quadro P620 when you’re ready to test a Pxxx fix.

As I posted on the HEVC crash thread:

Confirming the above version solves the transcoding issues for 1.23.0.4459 on Quts Hero 4.5.2.1638, .NvKernelDriver 4.5.2.1638, Nvidia GPU Driver 4.0.2, Nvidia GTX-1650

Thanks
PS: Might be a good idea to combine the two threads

Merging two threads by cross linking and closing.

It does make a good idea to keep together.

Please continue discussions here.

Developer build included in-thread.

In case anyone is still monitoring this:
