After updating to Version 1.28.1.6104, loading libraries gives error?

Updated Plex Media Server for Mac today, Aug. 20th 2022, and when going back to Plex on the Web; my libraries where not loading with message:
‘Something went wrong’.
‘An unexpected Error occured’.

Even then loading Plex Player on my Xbox, the libraries were not loading and got ‘connection error’, while everything was working with previous version and last night.

Tried everything, but may need to downgrade to previous version, however, Plex website doesn’t support this, which is unrealistic and should be changed.

Anyone else having issues with the latest version of Plex Media Server Version 1.28.1.6104 for Mac?

My Mac is iOS: 10.13.6 High Sierra.

And the stupid thing is: After downgrading, my original created server keeps listed as ‘unavailable’ and to check my connection?? Have to rebuild my whole library from scratch (again!).

Can you post your server logs? I suspect you have a corrupt database.

Don’t know if they are available, as I deleted / uninstalled the latest version of Plex Media Server, but for this version: Where can I find the logs (if they are even enabled?)

None of those logs have the data from the new release, see Repair a Corrupted Database | Plex Support and try doing a PRAGMA integrity_check;

Appreciate this, will have a look, but yes, as stated: I had deleted the ‘latest’ release of Media Server on my Mac and downgraded to the previous version, which still prompted me that the current Home Theatre (as I call my library) was unavailable and had to completely create new folders in Media Server :frowning:

FYI in the future if you wait for a response we might be able to assist you in recovering your library without the need to start over.

Hey, I tried the PRAGMA integrity_check; came back as OK. Probably because it is a new install after deleting the updated PMS.
Decided to start from scratch: uninstalled the prior version; downloaded and installed the latest version; build my database again from scratch, and now as well the PRAGMA integrity_check; came back as OK.
I’m going to leave it, but do wish to ask you two questions (if you don’t mind):

  1. Under ‘Settings’ > ‘Plex Web’ I get this message (even though I have now the latest version of PMS installed): " Any Plex Web settings and customization made in this Plex Web instance will not be synchronized with other Plex Web instances. This is because we have detected you have previously saved settings from a newer version of Plex Web."
    Why would that be, any idea?

  2. on Mac; under ~Application support/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases is a file called ‘com.plexapp.plugins.library.db’ Isn’t this supposed to be my updated fullback up of the database? I"m asking as it is last modified in 2019? Not 2022?

I’m just wondering where I can now find my current created database / library as to perhaps back up first the next time before doing an update?
