Hello everyone and happy new year!
I can’t update my Plex server anymore. Updates after Mac-Version 1.24.3.5033 are causing problems: After updating to newest 1.25.xx-Version, librarys are still there but all metadata and images are lost and I can’t playback anything anymore:
As mentioned in the German forums, it was suggested at first that it could be a corrupted library db but since I already repaired my actual db (made a manual dump and recreated a new db as described here: Repair a Corrupted Database | Plex Support ) with no errors or missings (as I was told, my db should be OK after repairing if all Librarys are there and everything is working) and even deleted the old db to start from scratch, the same problem described at the top still persists, even if I try to install Plex Media Server in it’s newest version freshly from Plex Website instead of updating it.
And even If I clean out the Plex Data Folder (also already suggested), except com.plexapp.plexmediaserver.plist and Preferences.xml, to start with a completely fresh install of PMS, it gets even worse and the Plex-Server in its newest version throws me a “Internal Server Error”.
All in all, this leads me to the conclusion that it can’t be solely a db-problem and I wonder if someone else has similar problems with latest updates on Mac? I’m on MacOS Mavericks which still should be supported by Plex.
I hope someone could help since I have this problem for a while now and thank you all for your ideas, suggestions and efforts!
Kind regards!
