Honestly, Plex should have just left well enough alone. About a month ago, I was running Plex Media Server and had a client on an Android Tx Mini box and a client on a Windows 10 box. Everything worked great. Fast forward a month and after deciding to accept the Plex prompts, I upgraded everything. Now it is awful.
I upgraded Plex Server to 1.19.3.2843 on my NetGear Nas and the Android client is running at 8.1.2.18135. Now no audio on with files the EAC3 codec. I can get the audio to work if I downgrade the quality of the video to something almost unwatchable.
I have gone through the Plex Server logs and nothing is jumping out at me.
I have Google’d this issue and there are a million hits. I can’t even wrap my head around why this hasn’t been addressed.
I know the issue isn’t with my hardware because this all worked a month ago.
Any ideas?
