Files with EAC3 audio won't play?

Plex won’t play any file with EAC3 audio. When I try to play one it says “conversion failed. the transcoder exited due to an error”. Files with AC3 audio works fine, just EAC3 is causing issues. Running version 1.13.0.5003 of PMS. I have tried it on Chromecast, 2 Android devices, and plex web. Would try it on my Xbox to try and get a direct play but that app messed up hard. App won’t open and it won’t let me uninstall the app, kinda gave up messing with it for now. Is this a known issue with this version of Plex? Or is there something else going on?

I’m not sure what hardware you have on your PC, but none of the other devices support EAC3 passthrough. About the only device that supports anything other than AC3 passthrough is the nVidia Shield.

Right, my question is what would cause the transcode to fail? It is the only codec that fails, everything else plays perfectly.
