Last week EAC3 5.1 played fine now nothing with that audio stream plays

My Plex will not play TV shows with Audio Stream "English (EAC3 5.1). None of fixes such as changing transcode work. Everything else plays fine just not TV/Movies with this audio stream. Plenty of folks talking about it but no solutions so far.
I’m running Plex off Synology NAS 918+, Version 7.0.1-42218.

So I applied some changes on the plex that I found on site.
Transcoder quality - Prefer higher speed encoding
Transcoder default throttle buffer - 60
background transcoding x264 preset - very fast
Enable HDR tone mapping
Use hardware acceleration when available
Use hardware-accelerated video encoding
Maximum simultaneous video transcode - Unlimited
I then rebooted my NAS.
It started working properly.

I have tried this but unfortunately it did not work on my Synology 5 bay nas

The EAC3 codec is damaged (regression in the transcoder update)

Engineering was given a sample of the failure and has already fixed it.
Expected to be released in the next PMS

If you have an older version, downgrade to i until the next update

Much appreciated, i’m Running DSM7 and downgraded to PlexMediaServer-1.25.0.5246-cb2507e4d-x86_64_DSM7.spk

Just got the new PMS release and it looks like EAC3 Codec was not fixed :frowning:

Just an FYI this Downgraded version of plex worked for all my files like it use to on my synology. Until Plex can fix the codec.

All of a sudden today the version of Plex that worked with EAC3 Codec (Above) stopped running on my synology. When i went to enable it, Plex stopped playing this codec again. After a couple of reinstalls with using the claim token. I will attempt to completely delete and reinstall plex without a claim token.

I have found my solution to my issue!! A complete reinstall of the latest version of plex without using the Claim token. Fixed everything.
