Plex mobile not playing audio

When I try to play a video with EAC3 audio from my local plex server to my android phone using the Plex app, there is no audio. When investigating on the phone, it shows the server is trying to transcode due to EAC3 not supported. However, if I use a different player on the same phone (e.g. Kodi, VLC) audio plays normally.
