@trumpy81, because of this thread I’ve parsed this Preferences.xml file on my Synology DS918+ and there is also no such thing as VaapiDriver=“i965” in there.
Can you elaborate a bit on this ? I have the impression my install works fine, trancoding (hw) works fine. Why should this be added and what if it is not there ?
Ok when i open http://YOUR_NAS_IP_ADDRESS:32400/web shows me wizard and now i have 2 servers visible one down and second up and some parts of my preferences/settings deleted and set to defaults. But playback still broken on every file, but the direct play works as before edit preferences.xml Before update to 2 latest update everything works fine. Transcoding and direct play. Last 2 updates broke it.
Ok when i use handbrake and encode file then i can play it because now its direct play and dont need transcode and HW accel. Transcode still not working after update, thats the problem. I use plex because its have transcode and i dont need reencode every file. As i say before everything works until last updates. Now HW accell and transcode is broken. I think only HW accel. is broken. If i turn of HW accel. transcode starts working and i dont need reencode files but cpu takes 99%. Before updates transcode runs and takes only 25-45% of cpu and can transcode 4 or 5 stream in one time.
If you need some other files or info ask me i provide you this info/files asap.
No but i try chrome and explorer and samsung tizen ipad. When stream needs transcode, then playback failed or show nothing, but if its direct play(no transcode needed) stream play without issue. On every player that i have.
Regarding &__fvd__ in the query string, this is not added by Plex. I’ve spoken with both the Web and Server teams. No such parameter exists in our code. You have something adding it and PMS is refusing to accept the request fully.
Regarding the transcode failure, PMS is rejecting the entire request with HTTP 400
due to the bad invocation.
You have something going on there which PMS is refusing to work with.

I am sorry. I did not understand the question properly. I’ve been thinking of changes lately. It’s my English’s fault.
I found addon named FVD installed in Firefox. I own this addon for years. Last update made a year ago. But in latest version of PMS this addon put something into server (security issue?). This thing broke HW Accel.
Workarround:
Latest version of PMS
Firefox with this addon FVD
Open Plex web with this firefox
Play movie and transcode stop working on every player (tizen, ios, chrome, explorer …)
How to repair:
Disable addon FVD
Start stop Plex in package center not fix problem
Restart DSM/Synology NAS FIX problem
Play movie and transcode start working.
I am really sorry for my fault and wasting your time with solving this problem.
