Again: Metadata, matching and DSD

I raised the issue earlier, but are still struggling. For DSF-files Plex does not use any embedded metadata (all my files have the appropriate data embedded (JRiver finds them all), but Plex MS is trying to match these albums with close to 0 success rate. I must admit that the folder name structure is not very helpful in my case, as some vendors such as Native-DSD do not put Album name or Artist in the folder names.

So question: why cannot use Plex the embedded metadata first and match these albums and leave the user the choice which one to use.

AFAIK, you can. Edit - Advanced - Select Use Embedded Tags.

I have embedded tags on. However, for DSF files it does not work. The PCM files are fine. I assume that Plex does not properly read embedded tags in DSF files

Did you have any more luck ?

Same issue here, there is matching with other sources (filenaming, plex pass etc), but does not appear plex handles dsf like it does other music file’s embedded metadata.
