Age restriction online sources

Hi, I have a child account that is heavily limited. It is only allowed access to labels I have manually created. I only done this to allow him free control to pick what he wants. He’s only 3, so need to lock it down till he’s a bit older.

Anyway, today I come in and he’s got on Acts of Vengeance via the online sources. He wasn’t watching it as he wants cartoons but the point is, it’s an R/18 and he was able to not only see it but play it.

I have had a good look around and other than turn the free content off I can’t see a way to limit what he can look for or am I missing something?

Thanks very much

You can stick with the restriction profiles (young kid, older kid, teen) – those should also apply to the online media sources. If you want to apply custom restrictions, your only option is to disable those online media sources for your 3-year old.

That makes sense, I might need to change and use a young child and then setup a restrict label for some of the stuff that is under a U rating. For example, Zulu would scare the crap out of him.

Thanks for the advise matey. Very much appreciated.

My experience with online sources hasn’t been good. I’d suggest disabling if you’re really concerned with what children watch. The bottom portions where they suggest similar content is not well curated and can suggest some suggestive unrated stuff. I have raised it repeatedly with Plex staff to no avail.
