So I thought well thats just not fair that you can plug in a set of headphones to a roku remote. Then i thought wait i have a old jailbroken iphone. So i fired up cydia and installed airplay server on it plugged in some headphones and went to my Apple TV and sure enough there was my iphone in the list of airplay audio devices. Now I can watch tv at night without bothering my girlfriend anymore. Glorious!

You can also send the audio to Bluetooth devices, although sometimes there is a slight lag relative to the picture.
I noticed that if you lock the screen it makes the audio choppy so i just set it to never lock for now. Maybe there is a better package to use that allows you to lock the screen. I have the cydia package dimmer also so I can dim the screen to about nothing so it keeps the battery pretty solid still.
Bluetooth would work also, never thought of that.
Is there a way to offset the audio in the plexconnect settings tab or is there a way to do it on the preplay screen before the movie or can it be detected when airplay is in use to offset the audio? Using airplay it is extremely close but the lip sync is off by about .5 of a second the audio is delived just barely before the video displayed. Not the end of the world, just wondering out of curiosity.
There isn’t an audio offset available.

Edit - looks like since iOS 8.1 was released some of the apps won’t install this way. I don’t have a unjailbroken device to test so if this doesn’t work my apologies.

Emu4ios got updated to 2.0 yesterday with new certificates for all the apps so airfloat should install again providing you're not on iOS 8.2 beta, I've been using airfloat for a couple of weeks now, it's a little buggy sometimes but generally its been fantastic, no lip-sync issues etc, I wasn't aware apple tv could send audio via bluetooth F00b4r ?
