I manually added tags (genre, style) to the albums in Music.
Is there a way, either built in or via a plug-in, to “roll up” those tags to the Artist?
In theory, Plex should be doing that automatically. Did you run ‘Refresh metadata’ on the artist after adding the genres? That should do it, if it’s working.
I had not run Refresh Metadata, but I did after your suggestion (both for an artist and then for all Music) with no luck either time.
I hand-entered all the album info though, does that lock the Artist record too? (It doesn’t show locked, but figured I’d check anyway.)
Pretty sure it does not.
