Having an issue with Album Artist and sometimes Artis not being picked up from metadata of files on home server.
Also remote server isn’t picking up changes from home server.
Are you getting no metadata? Or not what you are expecting?
I’m seeing inconsistent metadata on some compilation albums that I know are tagged the same. For some reason, my server isn’t using Album Artist for all albums, so I have a 5-CD collection, some showing “various artists” and some showing “Time Life Music” for the artist/album artist.
In my advanced settings, I have “prefer local metadata” selected, and I know that all 5 discs are tagged the same for Album Artist, with individual tracks tagged with Artist. Not sure if thats “proper” or not, but I’m seeing different things on tracks / discs that are tagged the same.
I have local metadata set too. But it seems to not pick up artist from my metadata. I even tried rebuilding the library
