Many embedded album artworks don’t show. All music plays fine.
There seems to be no consistency as to which do or don’t.
local agent is on top.
but the files show artists, song, LP, artwork in iTunes.
Some show up as unknown artist, album, but the song title with wrong artwork show.
Any input welcome.
In the Library settings, you probably have the old “Plex Music Scanner” selected, change that to the new “Plex Music” (yes I know, super confusing naming here) en it will probably pick up your embedded album art.
Oh, not Settings / Library but:
Settings / Manage (subheading on the left, towards the bottom) / Libraries / EDIT your music library (hover over the library name on the right):
And below that:
Album Art: “Local files only”
Scanner: “Plex Music”
Agent: “Plex Music”
nope. I don’t have those settings anywhere that I see.
However, it seems the “use embedded tags” check has help a lot.
Many are still missing, but not like the other day.
I’m on a Mac/Sierra. Or perhaps I need to update PMS to 1.18x?
yea, that was it. Updated to 1.18. Doh! Found those setting and the library is rescanning.

The new “Plex Music” scanner is better in a lot of ways, but…also introduced some new bugs, particularly with compilation albums. But embedded album covers, it does quite well I must say.
