Album disappeared after edit

I recently added a few items from an artist. Things seemed mostly fine, I went into edit the artist field some of them and add missing album covers. But after doing this for one of the albums and navigating away, it doesn’t show up in the list of albums in the music library.

I tried looking at the other artist’s albums, thinking maybe it got merged to one of them. Tried the search bar for the album name, and individual songs of the album. But I can’t find it anywhere.

I verified that the files are still there too. And I also tried renaming the folder. What can I do to put this in the library again?

The files were perhaps merged into a completely different artist or album. Maybe you slipped to a different key on your keyboard?

Anyway here is the method to introduce the files to Plex as if it had never seen them:
Plex Dance
(with music files, you can omit step 4)

You may want to look at this though, before making more time-consuming edits using Plex’s inteface.

But still, I wonder what happened with those files. I had tried searching for the individual song names before, which makes me think they couldn’t have gotten merged into another album. The album also wasn’t showing up on top of the recently added list.

If they were merged into an existing album, this album would not show up in ‘recently added’.
Because the album itself was not new.
