Anyone have a complete Alexa command that starts playing a movie from the beginning?
I am setting a routine “Ask Plex to play fish tank”, however it has a follow up question, “It looks like you were in the middle of watching Fish Tank, would you like to start where you left off?”
I want it start at the beginning without a follow up question. Any Ideas?
Hmm, not sure. I browsed the Alexa Voice Commands article to see if it specifically mentioned forcing Plex to watch a particular file from start, regardless of progress. I don’t see any command, but there are a handful that might do it. You just might have to experiment.
I’ve viewed command list a few times and tested different commands but was not successful.
Do you have any ideas on a command?
Ah, um, I was thinking of the “Play Specific Media” section. But it occurs to me that you likely are already doing that to resume playing your in-progress movie/show. And if this results in it asking to continue progress, then they are unlikely to yield any different results.
I’d try adding a phrase “from the beginning” to the end of a “play” command, but since it isn’t an officially recognized phrase, I doubt it’ll work. It may end up searching for a film called “The Batman From The Beginning” and failing. 
Unfortunately nothing has worked
