Alexa does not play content in Shield

I have successfully linked my Plex server running in an Nvidia Shield with the Alexa skill. The Alexa skill found the server and set it as the default. The problem that I am having is that whenever I ask Alexa to play *** on Plex, she always comes back stating: “Your Plex server appears to be online, but either remote access it unavailable or your sever it taking to long to respond…”

Remote access is working, since I am managing and streaming content over the Internet to other devices outside of my network. I checked the Plex server settings and it says that remote access is good. I have removed/reinstated the links between Plex/Alexa/etc. several times, and that did not help.

Any ideas?
