I’m unable to play music from my Mac iTunes by using Alexa.
Setup on MacPro: Plex, Remote access enabled
Setup on Alexa: Plex skill enabled
Setup on AppleTV: Plex app - able to find all movies on MacPro
Setup on iOS: Plex app - able to play movies and iTunes music from MacPro
I can ask Alexa to play movies from my MacPro and it plays them fine through Plex on my AppleTV.
However, if I try to play music from iTunes on my MacPro by asking “Alexa, ask Plex to play music by Shastro”, I receive an error "I’m sorry I couldn’t find any music by Shastro on your Plex server. I asked Alexa to play different playlists in my iTunes library and I receive similar error messages.
I can see my iTunes library through the Plex plugin on any of my iOS devices so I know that the Plex server on my MacPro is connected to my iTunes library as I’m able to see all my music, playlists…
What I"m trying to do is access the iTunes library through Alexa and I don’t know why there is a link missing somehow. Any suggestions?
