S02E12 is a double-Episode so it’s usually S02E12-E13
But after Cut and Move to Series-Folder there is an other other.
S02E12 is named Wenn der Weihnachtsmann kommt – Teil 1
S02E13 should be Wenn der Weihnachtsmann kommt – Teil 2 but part 2 is missing
S02E13 is named Der Junge von Nebenan title of E14
S02E14 is E15 etc up to E25/E26
It was me.
I tried yesterday to correct it on TVDB, but did not copy E12 to E13.
Thats why E13 is missing there.
All other Seasons have 26 Episodes. Every Episode has about 25min. or double → 50
All double Episode have two Entries with (1) or (2)
Anyway i wonder where did Plex get the “Teil 1” Information from?
Also “Teil 2” is missing.
PS: Plex Dance did not work as expected…
Where did “Plex TV Series” get it’s information from? When it’s Synced with thetvdb it maybe takes 1-2 days more?
The EPG comes only into play if you let Plex record the episodes and then leave them be.
But as soon as you start renaming or moving or recoding files, the metadata of the EPG are lost. From then on, only the episode ordering listed on the metadata sources TheTVDB and TheMovieDB are relevant.
Oh, and DON’T change the ordering on these websites to reflect the episode ordering of the 20th re-run on some obscure cable channel in Germany.
You can switch to the default “aired” episode ordering of TheTVDB.com either globally for the whole library, or individually for each tv show.
individually per show you can also switch to TheTVDB’s “Absolute” and “DVD” orderings
if you change data on either TheTVDB or TheMovieDB, it will take usually 48 hours before the changes are available in Plex.
Both websites have a policy which disallows to change the primary (“aired”) ordering to anything different than how the tv show was aired the first time. (Even if that was wrong, like it happened with “Firefly”.) If you change that, this will be reverted.
All you can do is to look up your show on both websites and pick one of the orderings which fit your files best. If you don’t find a “perfect” ordering, change the names of your episodes and re-sort them.
So anyway in “Plex TV Series” is the (1) for English title or “Teil 1” for German to much when (2) is non existent
I tried to switch the Agent for ALF to aired and English today, but a quick check just changed the language with same problem.
I will try the Plex Dance the next Days again… maybe the 48h help
@OttoKerner
