All DTS encoded audio has wrong channel assignments ie. dialog is coming out the right front speaker

I think this is a new development. Something has changed. I swear I used to be able to play DTS 5.1 surround encoded audio through the PS3 Plex app and whether it played true DTS or transcoded down to AAC or AC3 at least I had dialog coming through the center channel. I currently have “Allow Direct Play of AC3 Audio” deselected on the PMS but the Dolby Digital AC3 preference in the PS3 Plex app is ticked on. Everything used to work fine. I didn’t have to use 3rd party apps to convert the audio to AC3 5.1 to fix this channel assignment issue… Plex just did it natively. Now every single media file I have playing through Plex has broken channel assignments if it is encoded in any DTS variant. (DTS 5.1, DTS-HD, DTA-HD MA, etc)

What happened? Or better yet how do I fix it? I will provide any info needed to help rectify this. This seems to be a pretty prevalent issue as I see this issue crop up time and time again in Plex forums and the web in general with no real answer. Can I perhaps get a PLEX employee to chime in here to help? I’d be forever grateful. Thanks!

It is a known issue I do not have an ETA on a fix.

Welp. I guess like it or not that is an answer so… thanks for the info.

yeah unfortunately is it not a simple settings configuration issue.

Can i downgrade to some version where this is not messed up?
Or is there any ETA when this issue will be resolved?

I have the same problem, it´s rather annoying!
