Server Version#: 1.40.2.8395 – custom server on a fully updated Debian system
Player Version#: 4.29.2 – plexmediaplayer loaded on a fully updated Arch system.
Up until recently I have had no major issues playing media on my home PC, but just a few days ago after ripping a few more films from my library I noticed I could not longer play any media from my server. The server itself appears fine: I can play media directly from the server using mpv if I mount my media folder on the server as a network drive via samba, and I can play media using a Plex player on my phone and on my Steam Deck. I can even play media from my Plex server on my computer via the Plex web player. It is only the plexmediaplayer program my computer that no longer works. Additionally the only issue appears to be this buffering issue. It seems I can otherwise use the plexmediaplayer program as usual, though of course not being able to play media renders it pretty much non-functional. I can see my various Movies, TVShows, and Music folders, and can click through and examine seasons, extras, tracks etc. I successfully scanned my library to add the latest movie I ripped to my library. But nothing (movies, tv shows, or music) actually plays. I can work around this by using the web app, but using the installed media player would be preferable, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
