hello, since yesterday all my friends lost acces to the libraries. i have access to one of theose accounts so i removed access re-granted access nothing. and i removed as a friend re added. i can see that the users sees that they have access but non of the libraries show up. i am at a lost it has been working perfectly for the last 10 years and yesterday. they all lost access. i didn’t change anything. i can stream off my account no prob. i have the lifetime pass. so they should be able to see it. but i tried the account to a remove viwer sub. and they still don’t see it. any assistance would be welcomed
Sounds like you might be running a compromised version of PMS. Plex have restricted access to such servers for any connected accounts.
Updating the server to the current public version should fix this.

thank you so much yup this fixed the issue. worst case now users just have to re-pin all the libs to see them now. so this is great. thank you for the assistance this was the exact issue.

I’m only aware of what Plex posted in the linked announcement:
From what I’ve heard, Plex had a few server versions that could allow ANYONE to access your server, even if you didn’t allow access. It’s a pretty complicated thing, but it seems they screwed up the certificate or something for a few versions of Plex.
To make sure someone cannot just connect to your server when they otherwise shouldn’t, Plex has to disable ALL remote access to any server until they updated. There is no way to tell people’s servers that, so Plex just shut down access, and figured people would google or come here for help to find out they need to update the server.
