All of a sudden, my server is not recognized. Keeps saying Add your media to Plex

QNAP server that has been working forever. Now it doesn’t recognize my server at all. What the ■■■■?! Keeps asking me to add my media to Plex. I’m about done with this platform

The server is probably signed out.

From what I see at Plex.tv, your NAS-based server was last seen (talked to plex.tv) about 3 hours ago

Don’t know what happened to cause it to sign out but signing it back in is easy.

  1. Close the browser completely
  2. Open the browser
  3. Open an incognito browser window
  4. Now open http://ip.addr.of.qnap:32400/web
  5. If it wants to go through sign in and ‘got it’ setup then the Preferences.xml file got damaged
  6. If it denies access then it’s corrupted and needs fixing.

There are a few methods.

This is probably the easiest.
