@AzJazz You didn’t mention DVR’d content in your first post. Is that the only place you are seeing this, or also with files you added outside of DVR?
Hi, @BigWheel - Now that I have had time to observe the issue for a bit, we haven’t noticed it occurring with content outside of the DVR.
I did confirm that when I played the local OTA channel (ABC) that exhibits this problem “live” through the Plex Live TV & DVR page, the captions were all large during the live watching as well (which makes sense). No other local channels that we get OTA have this issue.
However, when I switched to our TV to play our ABC OTA channel, the captions looked perfectly normal. So, Plex may be having some sort of formatting issue when decrypting our ABC channel’s stream.
That some additional info that could be helpful.
Thank you I will pass along that info to the server team.
Thank you… i noticed that when i reduced the subtitle size on the TV Plex client, the size of the internal SRT subs were smaller, but now external subs are smaller as well… what do i do?
Any advice on what i should do, please? @BigWheel
If you mean advice about this I’m not sure what you are getting at. If you set the subtitles to be small they will be small regardless of them being internal or external.
That’s not the case here though… On one set of subs they are the size i want, but then in this case, if i don’t make them smaller on the TV itself, they are ginormous…
Then I need logs of when you are playing that file and if you can, a sample file that I can reproduce it with. if you can’t provide a sample then at least the media xml info from one your files that you can reproduce the issue with so I can see if I can find one similiar
