All tv channels can record. Only some play live on Android 7

I can record all the tv channels I receive on my HD homerun.

However, only some of them can be viewed live on my Android 7 phone (Huawei P10 lite).
any ideas why this might be?
Server is 1.8.1.4139 plex pass

It doesn’t even open the player, just reports that an error has occurred…

I have tried to compare with our “normal” TV to get resolution info.

It is not relating to resolution.
Some 1080i channels play live on android, others don’t.
Some 576i channels play live on android, some don’t.

However, Plex seems to list all channels as being SD quality on the PC server web interface.
Moreover, I feel nobody’s listening at Plex.

Is Android live viewing working for everyone else?

If you use a silicondust tuner, use this plex channel for your home users for live TV for the time being. This channel will run on the same plex server install as the new plex DVR:
