I can record fine and watch what is recorded but I cannot find a way to view live TV without recording it first.
I read that article before posting my problem and still cannot watch live TV. I taker it Live TV does not work in a computer where I use Plex for the majority of my TV viewing. I have the Plex app in my android and cannot find a way to watch it there either. My tuners work fine because I can record live TV. I can find no way to view it without first recording it even thought the email I just received says I should be able to view without recording.

I am a lifetime plexpass user. I was able to download and update the server. I see my Android Plex app updated yesterday. I tried removing and re-installing it. I have no means to browse the programming guide in the Android app. I can view anything from my library and I have (for a long time) used a channel app to watch live TV from my HDHOMERUN – but I see no functionality in the Plex Android app to browse channels or watch Live TV.
How does one reach the channel guide in the Android app? It is not on the main menu with my libraries. Running v5.10.2.354 of Android App.

I guess that’s why I am confused.
Right after the word “device”, there is a * in the email. The * links to the following text:
“Live TV now available on Android TV and iOS devices (more coming soon!)”
This seems clear to me.
I can’t figure out this live tv and dvr thing. Is it an app or channel or what? Is it set up on the roku or in plex server? Do I need special hardware or is my Mac computer with my Roku all i need. Where are the instructions. Honestly man give a guy a place to start nobody likes to read a thousand blogs to try and figure things out.

It is integrated into the Plex Server software.
To actually receive the OTA programmes in your local area, you need a receiver - in this case one of the supported devices These are basically boxes with an antenna connector on one side and a network port on the other.

If you’re on AndroidTV and having trouble finding it, I had to clear the app data to get live TV to show up. I had to do that on both my Nexus Player and Shield TV
I am wondering the same thing as fleinbach. Are we not able to view live TV directly from the same PC running the Plex Server? How would you verify everything is working fine from the server before trying to connect through an app ? When i try to view the program guide from a browser running on the same PC as the Plex Server and select the Watch Now from the Discover drop down it tells me the program guide is empty and to Please verify your channel mappings and refresh the Program Guideu. I have done this several times with no luck !!!
Techhead33 has summed it up pretty good. I am old school and use a computer way more then a smartphone. I have been running Plex for 3 years now and I only run it from a computer. I do all testing from my server and not making the live TV work there as one of the first platforms was a little disappointing.
