Allow account to share libraries with managed users

As I understand it, only the server admin is allowed to share the libraries with managed accounts. If you share your library with another Plex account, they cannot share that library with their managed users.

I would like this to be added as an option when sharing to certain accounts. If I share my libraries with a Plex account, it would be convenient to allow that account to reshare the libraries to their managed users. This would be a permission that is not given by default. The visual implementation would be in the “Restrictions” section, where I can enable Re-sharing to Managed Accounts for that user I’ve shared my library to.
Naturally, this permission should be able to be rescinded at any time by the server owner. That action would remove library access to the managed users of the account that was shared the library.

This feature is valuable because the current implementation is too restrictive when sharing my libraries to a friend that would like to use Plex Home to restrict access to content for their children. That household would consist of the primary account that the parents use, and managed users for their children, with appropriate rating restrictions. As the server owner, I would allow this account to share my library with the members of their Plex Home, so that their children can access my content through their managed user profile, with the appropriate restrictions.

Currently, this is not possible. To achieve this in Plex’s current state, two Plex accounts must be created. The first will be for the parents, and the second (or more) would be for the children. The server owner will be responsible for limiting the ratings accessible by the children’s account, not the parents. The Plex Home feature would also be useless here, as the family would have to manually log out of one account and login to the other, anytime someone else wanted to use the device, despite being in the same household. The server owner is not the appropriate person to manage restrictions on other people’s children.

The point of Plex Home is to streamline this process and allow the parents of children to manage their children’s exposure to content. That should not be the responsibility of the server owner, it is the responsibility of the parent. Furthermore, without Plex Pass, parents and children cannot be in the same Plex Home, making account switching cumbersome.
Plex Home fails in this aspect, so I believe Plex Home could be improved by allowing this particular permission to be given by the server owner to another account, so that account can properly manage their Plex Home members.

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to share content shared with the owner of a Plex Home inside their home with managed users. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes.

Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
