Allow Cached Content To Be Played Offline

It would make so much more sense when you have such large options for cache. It is a bit frustrating knowing I have ~32GB of music stored on my phone, but I can’t easily play it if I have no connection.

Currently when PlexAmp is disconnected from a network you may only select tracks to be played that have been downloaded, even when I’ve selected a very large amount for cached music.
Music will continue to play so it is indeed downloaded somewhere. I would love to be able to select to play this cached music while I’m offline.

As in „continuing playing an active queue“? That should actually work. However once you stopped a queue you can no longer access what was previously cached.

Which is why it would be nice to be able to have any cached tracks available to replay, especially if your cache is huge (e.g. 64GB). According to the setting in the app it stores “previous played and pre-cached” songs, which presumably are still available to be played. Is that not the case?

As Part of the current queue…

So 64GB of previously played music is there, and available to be played, but is inaccessible if you’re out of connectivity? Isn’t the point of having previously downloaded files in the cache so you can replay them?
I’ve run into this situation many times travelling for long distances between connections. The current queue runs out of songs and I’d like to play them again rather than having nothing else to play than my downloaded playlists. It seems counter intuitive that songs that have already been downloaded aren’t available to be played, and it would be a wonderful feature to be able to play whatever songs have been cached rather than leaving them inaccessible.

For example if it was an available playlist under ‘Downloads’ named ‘Cached’ or ‘Offline Music’ it’d be very effective for those who don’t have a lot of data, only use wifi, or live in an area with bad coverage. Cached songs are a great resource when you’re offline. The player feels extremely limited when you’re offline and this would greatly improve the functionality.
Choosing a bigger cache size means a lot more options than just download playlists. More variety of music available and less frustrating when you do have connection loss.

This is my most wanted feature. We can have 128GB of music cached on our phones and none of it is playable when offline. This just boggles my mind. If our device does not have internet connection, and we have cached music, we should be able to see it and play it from the library. The library should populate itself with cached music when offline since it is music that is stored on the device. Subsonic works this way and Plexamp should too.
