Accessing Cached Songs

One of the features that I always appreciated about the old Google Play Music client was that if you went offline you could still access cached songs (not downloaded, but ones you have already listened to). Is there a way to do this with PlexAmp? It would be great for when I lose my data connection sometimes.

It already provides that. If you’re listening to a long list of songs, PlexAmp continues to download the next set of songs in the background per your cache settings under ADVANCED.

But can the songs be accessed if there is no longer an active queue? If PlexAmp goes offline and there isn’t an active queue going I can’t figure out how to access music that has already been played but now downloaded. I remember this being a feature in Google Play Music so I’m just wondering if it’s available or I’m missing something.

There is nothing that shows it explicitly.

I’m not sure whether if you play and cache Album A when online it would then play Album A when offline if you selected it for an play. I presume it would although I’ve never tried.

In my experience when PlexAmp goes offline, you can only access things that have been specifically downloaded. Any cached songs are unavailable, but they should still be there since they will play transcoded I’d you go back on wifi. I’m just curious if there is a way to access the cache.
