+1 Bump for adding local media asset videos to TV like they work for movies.
As an aside, this thread was kind of hard to find. I found several other requests that were closed but without a link to this one. I am surprised that the mods would close a request as a duplicate but not link to the request that it is a duplicate of. Also, when you search, i would expect this one to be near the top, but it’s not.

Actually really surprised that this isn’t already implemented, even in a lazy “implement the movie extras system on show/season level to shut everyone up” method 
I’m tempted to make a plugin to try it, but It would be just for me since I’m under an intellectual property agreement :’(
I’ve just answered to another discussion when I remembered this feature request. It’s truly disappointing we cannot yet add local extras for TV shows / seasons / episodes in the same way we can do this for movies.
I’m aware it’s slightly more complicated… however by now Plex Pass will provide me with online extras for some shows and/or seasons. Which also reminds me how happy I felt when I noticed extras support promised in one of the Android client’s release notes (back in August 2016; I cannot believe it’s already been that long).
By now I have a whole bunch of gag reels, deleted scenes, clean titles from animes… for various of my shows for which I’m desperately holding back and not adding them as specials :’(
Hey Plex Team… what about a nice X-mas gift for the rest of us… I’ll even take the promise of this being implemented sometime in (early?) 2018!
Any chance this feature will be implemented anytime soon. Noticed this was missing back in Dec '15 and realized it still isn’t implemented.

This post should have more votes!. How many votes is actually required for Plex to implement a feature? Seriously!
So, I received a message today about the thread closing, however, here it is live and well. It seems that I got a message referring to a new, duplicate thread. Not sure that makes a ton of sense for me to get a message, but it may be because my original request was quoted in the closing notice.
It may be a blessing in disguise as this topic needs a bump anyway. I’m disappointed that the votes have not increased on this simple, and very useful feature. In the old version of the features board it had WELL over 100 votes. I guess many people do not know about the new voting system.

Can I make a suggestion? Post this idea with the link to this thread in popular forums like reddit which are bound to have more than handful of Plex users. You need to popuralize the idea otherwise it won’t work.

Thanks for this. It does some of what we need, but will only add extras to the show level, as most clients do not support showing extras at any other level.
Bumping this in order to get some more exposure AND VOTES. Why isn’t this implemented yet, we’re coming up on 5 years!!!

I wish the devs cared what we wanted. It’s such an awesome platform - most sticking points would be solved with relatively small tweaks.
I’ve been following up on a number of discussions regarding local extras for TV shows. As part of that I noticed we currently have 2 parallel “competing” suggestions on that very same matter.
Considering the “slightly newer” one has reached a wider group of users to vote for it (396 vs. 51 votes), I’d like to do some house keeping and focus the votes in that other suggestion. While vote counts are not everything when it comes to how Plex prioritizes their development, this should help to avoid distracting votes among 2 suggestions.
My apologies for the inconvenience to the 51 users who voted in here – please cast your vote once more in that parallel suggestion to give it some more attention.
