Allow Partial Airings - default to "N"

I would ALWAYS prefer not to record a show, rather than record half a show in cases where there are recording conflicts. Currently you have to deselect “Allow Partial Airings” on each and every show you want to record. In a similar manner to how Commercial Skips are handled (default set in the DVR Settings function which can be overridden on a case by case basis when recording a show), why can the same not happen for Allowing Partial Airings. It would make sense to be able to define that the default is “N”, but can do for a specific show if needed.

This is exactly my issue. Surely it would be a simple fix?

I’m making the cut over from WMC to PLex for my Live TV & DVR Needs.

As I setup each of my recordings, I would prefer not to have to go into advanced and uncheck the “Allow partial Airings” either.

In addition to that, I’d think that all items in the Record Options should be able to set to the user’s desired Defaults, so that when one creates a new recording they do not have to change the options that they want for each and every recording that they set.

I’d go so far as to say I don’t want to have to click “Advanced” each and every time I set a recording, just give me all the Record Options in one area… perhaps Plex can have that set as an option… to show Advanced/all times as the default.

And for the “Minutes Before” and “Minutes After”, would it be feasible to allow this to be set to “Seconds”? I’d like to be able to set this to 30 seconds to the end of a recording, and then with the “Allow partial airings” perhaps the last part of a show won’t get cut off as I have seen sometimes.

thank you for your time,
Stephen
