Allow Plex Users to use multiple TV Guide data sources (Local/Internet mix and match)

I’m trying to set up an Ersatz TV (simulated TV channels from my own media) alongside my Plex Over the Air Live TV setup and I’m running into a problem - unfortunately, Plex is limiting my entire install to one EPG data source - I’m either allowed to use live data from the source integrated to Plex, or an external XML file - no in-between, even if I’m dealing with multiple tuners.

This is fine in most instances, but for IPTV, or for my specific case, Ersatz TV, it makes things much more difficult/inconvenient - forcing us to rely on other subscriptions and multiple outside programs instead of simply allowing one tuner source to pull from live data, and another (or many others) to pull from an XML file.

Currently, rather than deal with the issues, I’m running an entire server outside of Plex for my own channels, which is kludgy, and I’d much rather deal with everything within Plex because I pay for a Plex Pass and heavily prefer to use it whenever possible because it’s my favorite media server solution.

Appreciate any input.

While it’s not a very popular feature suggestion, this already exists:

I’d suggest voting and making your case there.

For what it’s worth, you can have multiple guide sources, they just can’t be mixed (as you have found). This was the original request which (partially?) implemented multiple guides. There’s still discussion there.

Thanks for the heads up - did a cursory search and didn’t come up with anything, but I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I’ve commented and voted on both of those.

No problem! Hopefully this is one they consider for implementation…
