It would be nice to have a sub sort option. For example main sort by Movie Title, then a sub sort by year. It would allow for most series to stay together as a group and then be sorted by the correct year it was released. As of right now, several of the movies on my server are grouped together but due to the movie name they appear out of order. An example is the Harry Potter series. While they are grouped together they do not appear in order due to the title names.
You might want to look into grouping those franchises into Collections. Collections can be configured to be grouped when sorting the library by title, so you’ll get 1 entry in your library for the Harry Potter collection. The content of this collection can be sorted alphabetically or by release date.
If that’s not up your lane for some reason, you could also assign a sort-title (e.g. Harry Potter 1 to Harry Potter 7.2).
