Amazon Fire Cube homepage problems

Server Version#: 1.32.8.7639
Player Version#: 10.3.0.4685

For a couple or few months now, the homepage on all 3 of my Amazon Fire Cube 3rd Gen devices has been glitched in a particular way -

The ‘Continue Watching’ tab (which has been a staplepoint of our families ease of usage and all round fluidity) has shown many random content on my server that we have not actually watched, but has a state of time left watching. This ‘random continue watching’ content list gets larger and larger with each visit to the app across all 3 of the Fire Cube devices. I may also point out that its with confidence no one is viewing these random inputted content on the server. With many version updates coming from the Amazon App Store, as well as server updates from Plex themselves, none of these have been addressed nor rectified in said updates.

I was wondering and reaching out to other Plex users whether they have had the same issue, and, if so, how could it be rectified or fixed or even if there is a fix for that matter.

It would be greatly appreciated with any input to make the fluidity and usage much more user friendly and a little less frustrating to have my universally current-wactching content in a neat and easy to access manner. Currently, we are having to go to each individual tab to access whatever it is we are watching in relation to which type of content we are using.

To some, it may not seem that much of a particular bug bare, but us as a family hate this glitch.

Thank you for taking the time to read my forum post, i look forward to communicating and any feedback i recieve from others.

Are you using Trakt at all? Do the items show up in other apps in Continue watching like the web app at https://app.plex.tv

Hi,

When in the web app, they show up as normal how it should do. Even on my Samsung mobile Android app it comes up with the true continue watching.

Its only phyiscally on the Amazon Fire Cubes, which gets the most usage out of all of our devices used for Plex, so is extra annoying.

Not sure if its just a glitch connected to the Fire Cubes or not.

Update -

I’ve fixed the issue.

I tweaked the settings concerning ‘maximum weeks allowed’ and ‘maximum items allowed’ in the continue watching section. Saw the statement underneath that stated ‘if the number is too high, it could affect performance’. So, naturally, i changed the amount on both to the value of 100 and it has fixed the issue on our Fire Cubes.

Still doesn’t explain how it didn’t glitch on Android apps on my Samsung phone, though. Possibly the Fire Cube is just fussy and pretentious to the point where it cannot handle the higher value.

Anyway, its fixed and a solution has been found.
