Fire Cube gen 3 unexpectedly reloads library view and scrolls to top

Server Version#: 1.41.2.9200
Player Version#: 10.24.0.2257 (c53b3e71)
Fire Cube 3rd Generation

If I let the cursor rest, the screen looks as if it refreshes and brings the cursor back to the first position on the screen.

I’ve already reinstalled Plex on this server about 3 months ago, completely removing it, all the registry entries, brand new database, everything is new. It’s still doing it.

This is very very frustrating, especially if I’m trying to find the next movie to watch while a movie is in credits. It skips the entire thing back to the top… In other words, it happens no matter what is on screen in the play or stopped state.

Since this is the second time I’m dealing with it and a member of Plex staff told me to re-install Plex, it didn’t help so, I shot a video of it happening so you can understand what the heck I’m talking about:

This has been happening for the entire year, maybe longer.

Really? Not a single reply by staff? Nice to know my Plex pass membership doesn’t include tech help.

With the batteries out of the remote to ensure it has no power, does the it still move? Is there another controller device paired with the Fire Cube?

It does this on my phone and other devices as well… Forgot to add that.

This is ridiculous, Nobody wants to help? What do I pay for plex pass for?

Hey @abuttino maybe you haven’t tagged your post accurately so you’re not getting the attention your post definitely needs. These other devices are android devices or some other OS. If it happens on all sorts of devices then maybe it’s a server issue, meaning you’d have to tag with details of server OS etc. Just taking a stab here. Then we will let you know who to ping.

You’re mad that staff didn’t pay attention to the thread with a spam title?

May I suggest “Fire Cube gen 3 unexpectedly reloads library view and scrolls to top” or something else that actually describes the problem?
