Man I’m so pissed at Plex right now!! The app on my firestick wants me to call a number to activate my account. When I did they wanted me to install a screen share app on my phone ??

Can you share a screenshot from the FireTV?
It should show “Visit https://plex.tv/link” and have an activation code.
Check the URL you type. Make sure there is no typo, autocorrect error, etc.
There was a similar report a few weeks ago.
The user typed the URL incorrectly and landed at a site with a very similar URL, which is a scam site.

Yes, there is a SCAM out there.
LOOK AT THE LINK. Make 100% it states Plex.tv
This case tried to get the user to use PlexLinks.com which is bogus.
