AMD or Intel CPU if I have an Nvidia GPU?

Is there any benefit to choose an Intel cpu over an AMD if I have a dedicated nvidia 3080 ?
I have plex pass and sometimes remote users will require transcoding and subtitles.
I have read in a previous post that even if you have a GPU that subtitles will still be burned with CPU instead of GPU, is this correct ? If so which brand cpu will be better suited?
I know there is the new feature of zero-copy hardware transcoding that has been released, does this play a factor in my choice ?
I use windows 64bit.

It’ll come down to the particular model and its bare power (e.g. single-thread CPU benchmark like PassMark).

You’re referring a preview release – that means it’s basically targeted for hard-core testers / early adopters.
zero-copy hw-transcoding seems to be only available on the macOS version (again… it’s only a preview at this stage) – no final word on the extend of impact you’ll get from different hardware/platforms/…
