A live tv channel is longer accessible on a specific Plex Client, returning the error “An error has occurred, please try again later”. This error is preceded by a warning in the client log “[LiveTV] Item returned by /tune endpoint contains no parts.”
Environment
Clients: Amazon Fire TV Stick
Plex Media Server: Version 1.11.3.4803 - Windows 7 Professional SP1 - Intel I7 2.93GHz - 16GB Memory
HDHomeRun Extend: Firmware: 20180110 - Signal Strength 60%, Signal Quality 92%, Symbol Quality 100%
It works fine for a while but once a day or so, one of the clients (Fire Sticks) will fail to connect to a channel for Live TV. That client (Fire Stick) will continue to be able to connect to other channels, and other clients will be able to connect to the channel failing on the one Fire Stick, so it is isolated to the single client connecting to (tuning) a single channel. Rebooting the Fire Stick with the problem and reloading it’s Plex app will not correct the issue. The only way I’ve been able to “fix” the Fire Stick that will not connect to the channel is to restart the Plex Media Server. Is there some sort of left over token maintained between the Plex Media Server, the Plex Client, and the HDHomeRun that, once there is a problem, will never recover?
Attached is the relevant log file data for the failing client (Fire Stick) as well as the Plex Media Server log entries when the error was generated.
I do not know what sequence of events causes the channel to become unavailable to a single client. I can only recreate it by waiting for it to happen.
