I’ve been using PlexConnect for over a year and I get this error with some frequency. I just go back, hit Play and Resume, and works fine till the next time. I seem get this with some videos more than others and doesn’t seem to be problem with a specific segment of the movie, as I rewind and am able to get past the point it crashed previously. Did a Google search and a search on this forum but haven’t found an definitive answer. I don’t find this terribly annoying however I wanted to start a discussion topic on it:

  1. Is anybody else experiencing something similar?

  2. Any idea if this is an AppleTV bug? It seems to improve if I restart the AppleTV (“seems” is the key word here)

Just a correction. The error is message is:


An error occurred loading this content.

Try again later.



Also there are no error messages in the PlexConnect log. I suspect this is an AppleTV bug (memory leak?)


Also, confirmed, the issue happens noticeably less often after restarting the AppleTV. I’m happy to report the issue on GitHub if you think it’s worth pursuing.


What I’d really love to know is if this happens to everybody else.

You don’t report an issue in github, you follow the process as outlined in the link, providing all details in the template etc.
